What is a white pouch, nicotine pouch or nicopod?
White pouches is a rather new product on the market and it goes under several names such as white pouch, nicopod, nicotine pouch, all white pouch and white pod. A typical white poach consists of nicotine, flavoring, sweetener and filler. On this site we refer to them as white pouches or nicopods.
Is a nicopod the same as snuff or “snus”?
No, snus contains tobacco, white pouches don’t. However, the principle is the same, you put the pouch under your upper lip and the slow release of nicotine and flavors give you a pleasant effect.
*We would never recommend someone that does not already use nicotine to start using white pouches. Simply because nicotine is addictive. Nicopods are for people who want to enjoy nicotine without the disadvantages of tobacco, smoke and bad odors.
How can the pouches contain nicotine but no tobacco?
The nicotine in white pouches is added as a separate ingredient. The nicotine is either extracted from tobacco or chemically produced, depending on the brand.
What is the difference between a moist and a dry nicopod?
Most of the pouches we sell are moist which means that they contain a little bit of water so that the pouch will start to deliver taste and nicotine right away when you place it under your lip.
Some pouches such as On! and ZYN Mini Dry do not contain water and are therefore referred to as dry. This means that it will take a little bit longer for them to deliver since the saliva has to do the job of moisturizing the pouch so that taste and nicotine exudes.
What is used as filler in nicotine pouches?
Various ingredients from the plant kingdom are used as fillers. Usually these are cellulose and plant fibers, for example pine and bamboo.
How do I store my nicotine pouches?
Because they do not contain any tobacco, you do not need to think about storing them cool. You can have them at room temperature and take them with you anywhere. But if you prefer them cold then keep them in the fridge, its all a matter of taste. You can also freeze them if you like.
Can I use my pouches after expiration date?
White pouches are considered perishables and therefore there is a requirement for a expiration date. However, the product does not become bad after the expiry date but the effect and taste can be weakened.
Can I get discolored teeth from white nicopods?
Nicopods do not contain tobacco and therefore they will not discolor the natural enamel of the teeth. However, all teeth are different and there may be dental materials that can react with the ingredients in a nicopod.
Can I use nicopods during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Nicotine products should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Nicotine pulls blood vessels together and raises heart rate and blood pressure. If you have heart problems, angina or irregular heartbeat, you should also avoid nicotine products.
Can I use nicopods if I am diabetic?
White poaches often contain sweeteners but never sugar so from that aspect it’s ok. Nicotine has no effect on blood sugar levels, but consult your doctor if you are unsure.
Are white pouches biodegradable?
It depends on which brand you use. However, most white pouches contain a binder that is not completely biodegradable. The bags should therefore be disposed of in your regular waste. There is a lot of research on materials going on and we hope that there soon will be a product on the market that is 100% biodegradable. When the day comes we promise you will see it in our shop!
Why does shipping cost the same whether I order 1 can or 10 cans?
All of our products are shipped from Sweden and are therefore international shipments. The shipping cost is the same whether we ship something that weighs 20 grams or 200 grams. Unfortunately, this is not something we can influence.
Can I return my product if I am not satisfied?
No, the product cannot be returned even if the package is sealed. This is because white poaches are considered as perishables.
